EMDR Intensives and EMDR Intensive Trauma retreats are an opportunity to get to the root of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, ptsd, complex trauma and a wealth of other struggles rooted in trauma — whether it be the kind of trauma that sounds small and insignificant or the kind of trauma that sounds scary or disturbing, re-processing trauma using EMDR can be life changing.

Our offices in Hermosa Beach are across the street from the beach and within walking distance to a wealth of restaurants, pilates and yoga studios, beachfront hotels, and an abundance of self-care options inviting clients to create their own intensive self-care around their EMDR Intensive. You can build your own trauma retreat around an EMDR Intensive at Beach Cities Psychotherapy and customize it any way you want.

Some people come from out of town to experience the magic of Hermosa as a respite away from home but even locals can create a week organized around the magic of Hermosa as a respite near home. Even locals take the beauty of this little beach town for granted sometimes.

The advantage to doing EMDR work in an Intensive format is that it allows for accelerated treatment of trauma — rather than having to look at trauma week after week, you spend a week focussed on tending to it while tending to yourself too.  The accelerated format allows you to process about as much trauma as you could expect to process in two to three months of weekly EMDR sessions. Wondering what to expect?
